The Global Humanitarian Standards Partnership includes the Sphere Handbook, the Child Protection Minimum Standards (CPMS), Minimum Standards on Education (INEE), Livestock Emergency Guidelines and Standards (LEGS), Minimum Economic Recovery Standards (MERS) and the Cash Learning Partnership (CaLP). The Partnership is seeking to develop an app, with the overall aim of increasing access to, use of and cross-linking between standards. The app will provide on and offline access to and easy movement across GHSP content: the humanitarian charter, core humanitarian standard, minimum technical standards, indicators, actions, tools and guidance notes.

Contract: Twelve months with possible extension.
About position: The Child Protection Coordinator / Advisor will be deployed to Save the Children International’s humanitarian responses, ensuring high quality personnel at speed and scale in emergencies. The deployments will usually be to recent emergencies where Save the Children is scaling up, or to longer term/chronic emergencies where there are sustained needs for support to scale up or deliver quality programming. Deployments could be as field level Child Protection programme manager, technical lead for Child Protection for the emergency response, or on occasion, filling in senior child protection advisory roles in chronic humanitarian country programmes. The overall aim is to support the development and implementation of quality interventions to address violations of children’s right for protection
A Child Protection Coordinator/Advisor will lead on sectoral assessment, programme design and master budgeting, capacity building of Child Protection teams, and coordination both with Child Protection actors and cross-sector to ensure integration and mainstreaming of child protection, as well as to support fundraising, recruitment and procurement for the Child Protection programme.
