The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking the support of an expert to improve the quality of and access to services for child and adolescent survivors of sexual abuse in emergencies. Working closely with the coordination structures of the CP Area of Responsibility (AoR) and the GBV AoR, the focus of this position will be to build inter-agency practitioner capacity, technically support the CP and GBV AoR Rapid Response Team, and roll out the Caring for Child Survivors (CCS) guidelines. Additionally, this position will documents lessons learned, best practices as well as gaps in CP-GBV coordination at the field level, regional and global levels.

To contribute to more prompt and informed interventions for children on the move, in June 2017, IOM, UNICEF led Global Child Protection Area of Responsibility (AoR) and UNICEF co-led Global Education Cluster launched the DTM for Children on the Move project. The project has the objective of enhancing complementarities between the DTM, Education and Child Protection Information tools and systems, improving the quality and timeliness of information collected, and enabling the development of joint analysis to better identify most urgent needs and gaps in services affecting children.
Output 1: Child Protection, Education and WASH sections of the DTM Data Dictionary are completed on the basis of identified information needs, labelled and provided with the necessary attributes according to the DTM Data Dictionary structure.
Output 2: Desk review report highlighting data analysis/reporting best practices from DTM programmes world-wide, and opportunities for improved analysis/reporting to maximize usefulness.
Output 3: Ready-to-use templates for data analysis are developed together with instructions for use of field practitioners.
Duration: 5 months from 1 December 2017 to 30 April 2018
