The Child Protection in Emergencies Coordination Handbook (2016 edition) is now available in both French and English! The Handbook is primarily addressed to child protection coordination teams (including coordinators, co-leads and information managers) but also to members of child protection coordination groups, including NGOs, government representatives and other members. We hope that this document will serve towards ensuring more predictable, accountable and effective child protection responses in countries around the world. I'm very please to share with you the final version of the Cluster Coordination Reference Module. The changes that you had discussed with Rachel have been incorporated and some final formatting has been done. The chapter on Role of Clusters in Preparedness has now been updated with input from the ERP group of the Preparedness/Resilience SWG which we received this week. This fortunately has only changed the terminology which describes the content of the ERP and no changes have been made to the role of clusters beyond this and therefore remains consistent with the previously agreed chapter on the role of clusters.
We are therefore now sharing the reference module with the Steering Group of the HPC for a rapid check for consistency with related products of the HPC and then onto the IASC WG for electronic endorsement.
A huge thank you to everyone for their inputs into what has been a very used and now anticipated revision of the CRM.
