Dear Child Protection Coordinators, Sub Cluster Coordinators, Co-leads and IMOs,
The Education Cluster and the Child Protection Working Group are planning a second joint training on Information Management (IM) after the successful first one held in Geneva in July. The overall objective of the training is to improve the IM competencies of Education Cluster and Child Protection Sub-Cluster Coordinators, Co-leads and Information Managers, especially those working in the field. The training will be held in Istanbul, Turkey from December 8th to December 12th (5 days).
The content of the training will focus on helping participants develop practical, technical IM skills (database management, implementing IM systems in-country, needs assessments, collecting/storing/analyzing data, working with 3W tools and information, etc.) as well as explore better ways for IMs and Coordinators to work together and with other partners around IM issues. Expected results are the following:
- Information Managers and Coordinators gain core and technical competencies for IM according to their respective roles
- Information Managers and Coordinators know how to use field-tested Education and Child Protection Information Management tools (e.g.3W database, Secondary Data Review)
- Information Managers and Coordinators better understand one another’s roles and responsibilities and how to better work together within a cluster
The training will include approximately 20 participants as the training support is very individualized.
Should you be interested in the training, please complete the attached application form and send it along with your CV to Brigitte Court firstname.lastname@example.org by October 10th. Your application will be reviewed and you will receive an answer before October 24th.
